Assessment

Full assessment

Conducting the Institute of Applied Behavioural Analysis (IABA) Functional Assessment Report and Recommended Support Plan.

An in-depth assessment and report looking at all aspects of the individuals life and history, making positive recommendations about their aspirations and choices, staff approach / training, environmental considerations and detailed positive behavioural support strategies.

Intermediate assessment

An in-depth assessment and report looking at the individuals life, making positive recommendations about their aspirations and choices, staff approach / training, environmental considerations and positive behavioural support strategies.

Mini assessment

A short assessment which following discussion gives an opinion about an immediate presenting problem, and makes observations about staff approach / training, environmental considerations and positive behavioural support strategies.

Psychometric Tests (also available as part of assessment)

AAPEP (Adolescent and Adult Psycho Educational Profile) ;PASS – ADD; Mini PASS – ADD; Adaptive Behaviour Scales (Vineland / AAMR); Inventory for Client and Agency Planning (ICAP); Gilliam Autism Rating Scale


Hands on practical advice

Specialist advisors can attend staff meetings (regularly or as a one off) to give counsel on issues. Advisors can also shadow at specific times and give feedback on observations made.

Incident Analysis and Positive Behavioural Support Strategies

Specialist advisors can provide detailed analyses of incidents design and describe in detail successful and positive methods of approach for a particular individual.

This will include practical hands on training for staff and monitoring advice for line managers.

Person Centred Planning Facilitation

Trained PCP facilitators can support individuals to:

  • Start their plan
  • Think about things they may want to change for the better
  • Set up a circle of support
  • Action the things they have put in the plan
  • Review and update their plan

Training sessions

The Trust holds regular training sessions in the following areas:

  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder
  • Working with Structure
  • Developing social skills
  • Non-aversive approaches
  • Analysing behaviour and designing responses.

In addition tailor-made course can be devised around these areas according to need.

Quality Assurance

Service evaluation, review and audit using the IABA Periodic Service Review as a basis for design to ensure staff consistency and a high level of quality for services and programs.

Used to assess staff performance and the quality of services provided, and examine performance standards, performance monitoring, performance feedback, and systemic training.

Advocacy services

This service is being developed but individual requests can be discussed and an individual service can be formulated.
