Adult Forum
An Adult forum was set up in 2003 to look into the adult support needs of people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder in Medway and Kent. This forum meets regularly and consists of members of the Board of Trustees, the Family Support Officer - Adults and people who are concerned about the future support for adults with ASD. This group sent out a questionnaire to find out from people, their parents and education, health and social service departments what was needed, where it was needed and when it was needed. The response to this questionnaire was extremely positive and the group analysed the findings. The information has proved very useful and it has been presented to Medway and Kent Social Services.
