FAMILY SUPPORT- ADULTS
Des Walker provides the following support::
- information, support and advice for adults, families/carers and professionals
- support groups for people promoting social skills, social inclusion and work/leisure skills
- help for people and/or their families to work in partnership with Health, Education and Social Services by attending meetings, explaining professional reports and helping to compile written responses
- help for people and their families to get Community Care Assessments where appropriate and to get funding for support to meet their needs
- help with applications for benefits, grants and entitlements
- local self help groups
- advice on problems solving for everyday issues affecting people with ASC and their families/carers

FAMILY SUPPORT - YOUNGER PEOPLE
Jo Blamires provides the following support:
- information, support and advice families/carers that have sons or daughters of pre-school and school age
- help for families to work with Education, Health and Social Services by attending meetings, explaining professional reports and helping to compile written responses
- help for people and their families to get the most appropriate educational provision
- help with applications for benefits, grants and entitlements
- local self help groups
- advice on problems solving for everyday issues affecting people with ASC and their families/carers
- an email group where parents and carers can seek and provide information confidentially. If you would like to be part of this group please contact Jo.
